Life Portraits
Every life is a story worth telling — in their own voice. A Life Portrait is a cinematic biographical film built around your loved one's narration, with their old photos, home videos, and family archives professionally inserted to bring every chapter to life. It's a heirloom your grandchildren and great-grandchildren will press play on long after the storyteller is gone.
Why Frost Films
What sets this service apart.
Their voice, their story
We conduct a relaxed, professionally guided interview in their home or a meaningful location. The film is built around their actual narration — no scripts, no actors, just them telling their life the way only they can.
Old photos & home video, restored
Bring us shoeboxes of photos, slides, and VHS tapes. We digitize, color-correct, and weave them into the film at the exact moments their story calls for them — childhood, wedding day, kids, careers, milestones.
Cinematic, masterpiece production
Multi-camera interview, broadcast-quality audio, custom music score, color grading, motion graphics, and chapter titles. Every Life Portrait is edited like a feature documentary, not a slideshow.
Generational keepsake
Delivered in 4K on a custom USB and a private online link. Designed to be watched at anniversaries, holidays, milestone birthdays, and one day, celebrations of life — for generations to come.

Frequently asked
Questions, answered.
How much does a Life Portrait cost?+
Our Signature Life Portrait starts at $2,400 — competitive with national legacy-film studios that often charge $4,000–$10,000+ for comparable work. A shorter Chapter Film (15–20 minutes) starts at $1,500, and an Heirloom Edition (extended runtime, additional interviews with family members, hardcover printed booklet) starts at $4,200. Every project is custom-quoted after a free discovery call.
How long is the final film?+
Most Signature Life Portraits run 30–45 minutes. Chapter Films run 15–20 minutes. Heirloom Editions can run 60–90 minutes with multiple family voices woven in.
What do we need to provide?+
Just your loved one and any old photos, slides, home videos, or memorabilia you'd like included. We send a guided question list ahead of time so they can think through their story — but the conversation stays natural and relaxed.
Can you film someone who is ill or in hospice?+
Yes — and we treat these projects with the utmost care, sensitivity, and speed. We can often capture an interview within days and deliver a rough cut quickly so the family has it as soon as possible.
How long does the project take?+
Standard turnaround is 6–8 weeks from interview day to final delivery. Expedited timelines are available when circumstances require it.
